Onga Mchuzi Mix

Onga Mchuzi Mix is a traditional gravy relish seasoning powder which enhances flavour and aroma, adds colour and assists with the thickening of the gravy base which is important in many traditional meals. Onga Mchuzi Mix is sold mainly in East Africa.

Onga Curry Mix

Onga Curry Mix offers a complete, rounded product with a great spicy flavour, aroma and color. Curry powder is made up from a combination of spices and has been widely used throughout the ages to add a spicy tang to a variety of dishes. It is currently available in Kenya.

Onga Shrimp Tablets

Kate Henshaw-Nuttal - the new face of Onga in West Africa

Kate Henshaw-Nuttal is a superstar in her native Nigeria and, throughout the West African region. She is an actress with tremendous grace and poise, yet is down-to-earth and humble. Which is why it gives us great pleasure to announce that this popular, acclaimed actress has accepted an invitation to be the new face of Onga.

Kate is the ideal candidate to reflect the way a proud West African woman balances a modern lifestyle with traditional values. The new Onga television commercial was conceived to illustrate this balancing act, and Kate is undoubtedly the star of the show.

The new campaign also represents a departure for Onga from fully animated commercials featuring “Mama Onga” to 100% live action. Though the animation is popular, we feel that our customers will relate to and appreciate the human element in our new commercial.

Kate, as the new face of Onga, will be hosting and attending a lot of activities for Onga, such as the guest appearances at a variety of cooking competitions, openings and food fairs.

To add to her considerable list of achievements, Kate scooped this year’s African Movie Academy Award for best actress, which makes her not only the face of Onga, but also the toast of Africa.
