Yumvita celebrates young women in Freetown, Sierra Leone

In commemorating this year’s International Women’s Day, Yumvita held an awareness programme on the importance of women in leadership in our society.
The event was held for 1 500 students at the Methodist Girls’ High School in Freetown under the 2021 theme: “Choose to challenge”. Special guest of honour, Honourable Catherine Zainab Tarawally, who is the minority chief whip in the current parliament, highlighted the need for the young women to aspire to leadership positions. She emphasized that when women become leaders, they bring skills, different perspectives and structural and cultural differences, which ultimately drive effective solutions to societal problems.
The Managing Director of Premium Divine Trading, Mr. Mahmoud Basma, stated that celebrating all women across the globe on the 8 March is a call to action for accelerating gender parity. He encouraged all female students to continue consuming Yumvita, stating that its “Nutri-V” formulation positions it as a product of high nutritional quality.
Management, staff and students at Methodist Girls’ High School expressed their gratitude to the Premium Divine Trading Company for choosing their school to celebrate this year’s event.
The event culminated with a birthday cake cut by all students whose birthday fell on the 8 March, accompanied by all ‘March-borns’. All students were given product samples, with those born in March receiving special packages to enjoy.
