Yumvita boosts teen talent development at maiden Mr & Miss pre-teen Sierra Leone

It was with mixed feelings as parents and their children trooped to the Freetown Aqua Sports Club on the afternoon of 2 January 2022, unsure of the day’s outcome.  Some were there to witness and support their favourite contestants in the maiden contest, while others were there to ensure they carry home the covetous title of Mr or Miss Pre-Teen Sierra Leone.

In all, nine girls and four boys showcased their creative skills and displayed their levels of intelligence through a question and answer session. These included Africana displays, cat-walking, and displays of dinner and party attire.

There was free sampling and sales of Yumvita ,as well as product education on the Yumvita brand, after which many of the kids were given an opportunity to participate in a raffle draw, winning items such as Yumvita 350g, Yumvita T-shirts and Yumvita mixing bowls.

After an entertaining session by the teens, the judges had a difficult time deciding the winners in view of the excellent performances displayed. All contestants took home a carton of Yumvita, with the overall winners taking home a special hamper from Yumvita. Members of Kids Super Star Sierra Leone were present to entertain the audience with some of their songs.

The day climaxed with Fatima Rugiatu Beretay, aka Black Barbie from Jee’s Millennium Academy at Lumley and Brian Alex Caulker from the Sierra Leone Grammar School at Murray Town being crowned Miss Pre-Teen Sierra Leone and Mr Pre-Teen Sierra Leone respectively.
