The Burkina Faso team visits traditional authorities
With a population of 21 million people, Burkina Faso inhabitants are very close to their traditional rulers. Traditional authorities are key in their daily lives. They are influential, well respected, and their decisions are always accepted by people because of their wisdom.
On 13 March in Ouagadougou, the Team met the “Mogho Naba”, the reigning monarch of the Mossi ethnic group, which constitutes about 40% of the country’s population. And on 3 April, the Team met the Bobo Dioulasso traditional chief. Out of respect for tradition, it is customary for businesses seeking to establish a foothold in these two key cities to seek traditional authorities’ symbolic approval. They gave their blessings to the Promasidor group and team, and appreciated the respect shown by the initiative.
