Sossi in a can launches in South Africa

East Africans have been enjoying the rich, meaty flavour of Sossi for some time now, but now that same great taste is available in South Africa in a convenient new can and in three delicious flavours.

The launch was held at the elegant Serengeti Golf and Wildlife Estate in Johannesburg, where invited guests were treated to meals prepared with Sossi. According to Shaun Chaplin, Managing Director of Promasidor South Africa, the product is the first of its kind in the country and is set to be a real game-changer. “We are the first company to launch something like this. It is protein in a can. The brand is sold in Kenya and Ethiopia, but this concept in a can is completely new. Together with our partners at Mane (food flavour suppliers), we came up with the idea for this product. I think we have an absolute winner now,” said Chaplin.

Sossi Soybean chunks in sauces and gravy are the perfect combination of healthy goodness, delicious taste and ready-to-eat convenience. Sossi is 100% plant-based, but tastes just like meat. Only the very best ingredients have been selected to transform these versatile soyabean chunks into rich, meaty sauces and gravy, which consumers then add to their favourite dishes.
