Promasidor SA steals the show at the Shoprite Trade Show
Yearly in September, Promasidor SA enters the Shoprite Checkers Christmas Trade Show at Gallagher Estate in Midrand. All suppliers are allocated a stand which is designed and set up according to each supplier's own choosing.
All the Shoprite Checkers staff then amble around the trade show sampling all available products. We have found the best way to get the staff to "notice" our products is if we have an interactive stand were a competition can be entered to win some sort of prize and of course we utilize beautiful ladies as the attraction!
The first year (2010) we had a young lady dress up as a mermaid and each person could have a photo taken with her, the photo was printed out immediately and given to the participant, upon having the photo taken an entry form was completed to be entered into a draw for a trip to Sun City which proved very popular and of course the mermaid was a huge hit with everyone. Year 2 (2011) saw us doing a similar concept but this time round we used two young ladies who were cheerleaders for the Gauteng Rugby Lions club.
Again photos where printed out and an entry for Sun City was drawn. This year we decided to change it up a bit but, of course, we didn't leave out the young ladies. A dart throwing competition was held where a voucher of either R2000, R1000 or R500 could be won depending on your score. This was also a huge hit with all Shoprite Checkers staff, so our stand proved to be very busy for the duration of the day.
