Promasidor Kenya gets a state-of-the-art Continuous Dryer

Promasidor Kenya has invested in a new drying method, which is being used to ensure the production of texturised soya protein, which is essentially the Sossi and Proya brands.

The continuous dryer is focused on minimizing our expenditure on energy consumption. The continuous drying system will see a total reduction in energy consumption as compared to the previous batch drying. This will also lead to improved food safety through reduced human handling of the products since the products flow in an enclosed tunnel all the way to packing.

Through this dryer we have also seen improved efficiencies of 10%. The project has also helped in minimizing waste, reducing noise levels, eliminating strain on workers and freeing more space among other benefits.
