Promasidor celebrates International Women’s day with women staff
Celebrated every 8 March, International Women’s Day is a time to reflect on the wonderful roles that the women play in society. This year’s theme was “Generation Equality: Realizing Women’s right” which is a reflection on Gender equality, which is a point of discussion throughout the world today.
In Promasidor Nigeria, gender is never a barrier. In fact, the women’s workforce is inspired, trained and rewarded as the men are. Over time, many women have shown unequalled ability and zeal at work, and practices like this have been continually praised and rewarded. Many of our women force over the years have received awards such as the Best Near-miss Reporter, Best Employees of their departments, Top Salesman awards, On The Spot awards among many others. During the organization’s annual Long Service awards, the women among the awardees are always celebrated with such endearment.
Promasidor Nigeria has continually promoted and supported the endeavours of good women within departments and in the company on the whole. Miracle Akparanta of our workshop department and Maryam Adams in the Engineering department are among women that were encouraged to develop careers in a male-dominated departments in Promasidor. Deserving women have always been supported to reach the peak of their career.
