Onga wows at the West African Food Festival in Liberia

The third edition of the biggest food festival on the continent was hosted in Liberia by the Liberian Chef Association in collaboration with Liberia National Tourism Association from 17-21 November 2021. Liberia was immersed in the aroma of different food cultures and culinary innovation from the finest celebrated professional chefs in West Africa. Onga, known as the mama’s helping hand, was right there to help the chefs fix mouth-watering tasty foods.
As a sponsor, Onga assisted the Liberia professional chefs with a cash amount of $5000.00 USD to transport a 20-foot container of hot kitchen equipment donated to the association by one of their partners in Dubai, and presented Onga seasoning products and branded items worth about $3000 USD for the programme to be a success.
There were activities such as Chef Cooking competition, Inter-schools Cooking competition, Plated Dessert competition, Young Chef competition and Exhibition.
Participating countries included Liberia, Ghana, Togo, Nigeria Gambia, Benin, Sierra Leone and Mali, with the judges from South Africa and the Philippines. People from across the continent were introduced to various cooking cultures and Onga seasoning.
