October 2013 Newsletter

Of great importance to all of us within the group is that we give back to the communities in which we sell our products. So it is great to hear of the various CSR initiatives from across the group. Promasidor Nigeria still points the way. The on-going National Mathematics Competition, now in its 13th year, continues to inspire schoolchildren across the nation. The Cowbell Football Academy recently celebrated its first year in existence, and it too continues to go from strength to strength. The Promasidor Quill Awards recognise media excellence across the board. Promasidor Nigeria also places a special emphasis on the youth by donating vehicles and computer equipment to youth organisations within their communities. In Ghana, the Cowbell National Cycling Tour, now in its third year, continues to enthral the public and it also gives us invaluable publicity. Great branding and CSR initiatives can live side by side, as demonstrated by the water well roundabouts erected in Malawi. Both Zambia and Kenya have upgraded their office and manufacturing facilities, a clear sign of Promasidor's confidence in the outlook for those countries.
In Algeria we take to the streets with Xploza in a massive countrywide road show, entrench Loya as the No. 1 milk brand through a co-ordinated above and below-the-line campaign and launch Twisco Choco-banana. In Tanzania, the sales team polishes their act and makes its mark at the two major trade fairs in the country. In Ghana we invite the country's most beautiful to cook Onga. For Kenya, we produce twelve 2-minute cooking segments for Sossi. And in South Africa we devote 67 minutes of our time to those less fortunate than ourselves.
As most of you know, every year Promasidor sponsors a student at the African Leadership Academy (ALA). This year's recipient is a determined young man by the name of Gordon Selasi Dogbe. We share his dreams for the future and what he hopes to achieve at the Academy.
It's all right here in the latest edition of Promasidor Link. Enjoy.
