Mixwell Mali supports the fight against covid19

Mali, one of the world’s poorest nations, is greatly affected by poverty, malnutrition, epidemics, and inadequate hygiene and sanitation. Mali's health and development indicators rank among the worst in the world, with little improvement over the last 20 years. Mali registered the first confirmed COVID-19 case at the end of march, which obliged the government to define measures to stop COVID19 propagation. Restrictions such as evening curfews, closing of restaurants and bars, closing of airports have turned a lot of workers into jobless family providers. To help the government support families in need, Sodilap the local Promasidor representative, offered 500 cases of Mixwell 400g (i.e. 5000 sachets) to be distributed to those families. The health & social welfare minister received the goods himself in the presence of the national television station, ORTM, and thanked the company for this act of kindness. Currently, 1000 Mixwell branded masks are also being produced to be deployed in the very poor communities of Bamako. On top of that, a massive #StopCovid19 social media campaign is ongoing using influencers to raise awareness and educate followers about prevention methods.
