Miksi supports the Liberia Marathon 2022
On a sunny day over the rainy period August 2022, a long line of runners stretched out from the 21st street Sinkor traffic light all the way to JFK main gate. This is how the sixth edition of the Liberia marathon started on 21 August. The event attracted 2500 participants and consisted of a full marathon(42.2km), half marathon and 10km run, which included races for disabled and wheelchair athletes.
Sierra Leoneans Kargbo John Yamba and Kamara Fatama run at the front, hitting 10km in 00:33:04 and 00:45:18. A standout athlete was 73-year old American, Brent Weigner, who finished the 41.2km race at 5:24:50 with Liberia his 192nd country that he has raced in. Bryant Michael defiled all odds and endured all pain to be the winner of the full Marathon at 02:58:33.
Qtraco, our partner, was present with an eight-member team which participated in all the three categories of the race. The winners were rewarded with Miksi goodies hampers to enjoy with their families.
