Market cleaning across Burkina Faso
Markets are visited every day by vast numbers of people, many of which are part of our target audience. We noticed that some key markets in both Ouagadougou and Bobo Dioulasso were not very clean at all, despite the efforts of market leaders. So in collaboration with these leaders, we decided to run a PR activity on market cleaning. The operation took place between 6-10 February in Ouagadougou and Bobo Dioulasso markets with Onga teams and market leaders at the helm. In Ouagadougou, we cleaned TOECE Market and were able to engage with 240 mammies. In Bobo Dioulasso we cleaned two markets: FRUIT Market (130 mammies) and COLMA Market (143 mammies).We also took this opportunity to sample 576 consumers with Onga Shrimp.
The market cleaning activities have been very much appreciated and we decided to continue its implementation every month with our Onga Commando Teams.
