International Women’s Day celebrated in Burkina Faso
Celebrated every 8 March, International Women’s Day is a day of celebration of women’s rights. It is also an opportunity for women to reflect on their efforts to gain those rights.
In Burkina Faso, particularly in Ouagadougou, Onga participated to the International Women’s Day of “Association of United Women of Bassinko Cities - (AFSCB)”.
A cooking competition was held, preparing local dishes with the delicious flavours of Onga. In total five lucky women were rewarded. Our efforts were recognised AFSCB and we reassured them of our full support, both now and in the future.
