Cowbell supports the NCCE Constitution Quizz in Ghana

Cowbell’s commitment to support educational activities in the country continues unabated. The brand headlined this year’s series of the NCCE Constitution quiz, which climaxed at the main auditorium of the Pentecost University College in Accra on the 12th of October 2016. Hundreds of students from 30 different schools in the Ga Central Municipal Assembly thronged the auditorium to witness a heated clash between the competing schools. The first part of the competition saw seven Junior High schools (JHS) battle for the bragging rights as the champions of this year’s quiz competition.

To the surprise of many, contestants from Liberty Preparatory School took home the winning trophy after they took the lead in all the rounds in the competition. Each contestant was awarded a Dell laptop, a 1992 constitution booklet, Cowbell products and souvenirs, as well as a full speech and prize-giving day sponsorship package for their school. Defending Champions, Glorious Jesus School chalked up second, while Papty Preparatory School came in third. Both schools were awarded stationery-shopping vouchers for all contestants as well as products and souvenirs from Cowbell.

The second part of the competition went a notch higher, after an exciting clash between four selected senior high schools (SHS) from the Assembly. St John’s Grammar school emerged as winners, while Apostle Safo SHS came in second followed by the Odorgornor SHS in third. They were also awarded shopping vouchers and goodies from Cowbell. The competition, which is an initiative of NCCE with full sponsorship from Cowbell, seeks to educate students on the content of the 1992 constitution, which is the highest law of the land.

Speaking at the end of the event, Brand Manager for Cowbell, Mr Joseph Ashong, congratulated all the schools on a great job and assured them of Cowbell’s commitment to continuously support the quiz. “Cowbell as a brand is interested in the holistic development of the individual Ghanaian student and that is why, apart from always providing healthy nutritious Cowbell products for the kids, we partnered with the NCCE to organize this event to encourage students to keep reading more about the constitution in order to become responsible citizens.” Mr Ashong added.
