Cowbell headlines 2017 Central Regional High Schools Athletics Competition In Ghana

Cowbell has once again shown true passion for the development of lesser-known sports by headlining this year’s athletics competition for all senior high schools in the central region of Ghana. The 3-day tournament, which was held in the 15,000-seater Cape Coast stadium, saw the participation of over 40 different senior high schools (SHS) from different parts of the region.
Thousands of students were treated to a rich Cowbell brand experience with a lot of sampling of the different Cowbell variants and several giveaways from the brand. Cowbell’s brand manager Cowbell, Mr Joseph Ashong, expressed his satisfaction with the performance of the student athletes and committed the brand to the future development of athletics in the country. St Augustine College SHS and Wesley Girls SHS emerged winners of tournament. St. Augustine continued their dominance of the 3-day event by amassing 140 points and improving their all-time record to 12 titles at the 27th edition of the Championship. They beat rivals Adisadel College, which finished second with 109 points and Swedru School of Business (SWESBU), which finished third with 85 points. The best athlete of the boys contest was Kissward S. Edem of Aggrey Memorial who won the Long Jump, finished third in the 110 meters hurdles and set a Championship record in the 400 meters hurdles. Winners of the various categories were presented with product packages and souvenirs from Cowbell.
