Cowbell and the United Nation Information Center (UNIC) Commemorate 2016 World Youth Skills Day

Cowbell, in collaboration with the United Nation Information Center (UNIC), has commemorated this year’s World Youth Skills Day with an event to unearth the skills of young people. As part of the celebration, a competition was held for some 21 students from the Adabraka Cluster of Schools in Accra to display their talents in drawing, crocheting, paper cutting and much more.

Speaking at the event, Marketing Manger for Promasidor Ghana Limited Mr. Akiem Torsoo, encouraged parents and teachers to help the children discover their talents and also assist in developing them. He called on the students to take their studies seriously and also to remember to eat healthy meals.

Presenting the UN Secretary General Message, Ms. Cynthia Prah, National Information Officer for UNIC, expressed her gratitude to Cowbell for their support in this year’s event and called on other brands to follow suit.

At the end of the competition, the pupils presented beautiful artistic works with Dennis Quarcoo of the Calvary Methodist One Basic School being adjudged the overall winner. The second position went to Roy Acquaye, also of Calvary Methodist One Basic School. Darius Odametey of All Saints Anglican Basic School took third. All participating students were presented with product packages and souvenirs from Cowbell.
