Amila refreshes learners at the Thandulwazi Trust Maths and Science Academy in Johannesburg

The Thandulwazi Trust Maths and Science Academy was created in 2005 to provide upliftment educational opportunities for teachers and learners alike. The Academy is hosted and supported by St Stithians College, a prestigious learning institution in Johannesburg. The beneficiaries are drawn from communities in the greater Johannesburg region, where resources are scarce for the development of maths and science.
Over the past 16 years, more than 26 000 teachers and learners have benefitted from the four upliftment programmes offered by the Academy: a Teacher Intern Project; a Saturday School from grades 9 to 12; A Teacher Development Programmme; and a Scholarship programme to attend St Stithians.
Because learning is hard, thirsty work, Amila made a generous donation of their range to the Academy for learners to enjoy between contact sessions.
