Algeria Red Crescent Support Actions
As the COVID-19 pandemic kept spreading, the need for necessities such as milk, medicine and hygiene supplies became even more critical. While humanitarian organisations, such as the Algerian Red Crescent once again showed their importance in these unique times, we as manufacturers do have a responsibility to support those actions and give back to communities.
Faithful to its principles of solidarity and good neighbourliness, Promasidor Algeria, along with numerous other companies from various sectors, took part in the Algerian Red Crescent’s supportive action for Bamako, Mali. This consisted of shipping 90 tons of food and products, and respiratory devices to help in the fight against COVID-19.
It is a real tragedy that hit Lebanon in the early days of August and many countries have joined forces to bring their support to the Lebanese people. In Algeria, the local government and the Red Crescent reached out to local manufacturers and medical institutions for support. In total, four aircraft flew to Lebanon with experienced medical staff and 200 tons of hygiene and food supplies, among which was our Loya Milk.
