As we near the end of 2016 it is time to reflect on, and be proud of, many outstanding achievements in 2016. This publication of the Link highlights some of the great values of the Promasidor family.

Brand Manager for Miksi Chocolate, Mrs Linda Nartey, has indicated the brand’s interest in investing more resources into skating in order to develop the sport in Ghana. She made this known during the 2016 National Skating tournament, which was sponsored by Miksi Chocolate.

The 2016 edition of the Homogeneous Festival Celebration, Homofest, came to a successful end with a delightful cooking contest put together by Onga and the Centre for National Culture.

Brand manger for Cowbell, Mr Joseph Ashong, has announced plans to invest and support the growth of basketball in the country. He made this known after a successful Cowbell-Afahye basketball tournament, which was organized as part of the Afahye festival celebration in the Central region.12 selected basketball teams from different parts of the country took part in the two-day heated competition.

The 2016 Cowbellpedia Mathematics Competition came to a glorious end with Juliet Ekoko and Ayoola Oguntade, both of The Ambassadors College, Ota, Ogun State winning the Junior and Senior categories respectively. The winners got N1 million each and an all-expense paid education excursion outside the country.

The first runner-up in the 2016 Promasidor Quill Awards, Olatunji Ololade, has commended Promasidor Nigeria for the Thomson Foundation Summer Convergence Course, which is part of the overall prize for the annual competition.

We have to say that Ami, our Amila character, is quite a patriotic chap. He’s been spotted at heritage sites around South Africa, everywhere from the Union buildings in Tswane to Table mountain in the Cape.

Prescott joined Food Products Ltd (now Promasidor Malawi) in 1999 and worked as a financial controller till his death. Prescott collapsed in the office on 14th November 2016 after he suffered a second stroke and died in hospital on the 16th November 2016.
